Week 2

Join a live online program designed for translators, students, educators, and language professionals who want to understand how localization work is changing. Over two weeks, you will explore CAT tools, machine translation, LLMs, Python basics, localization engineering, project management, and specialized areas such as software, website, game, SEO, and audiovisual localization.

What you will learn

By the end of the course, you will have a clearer understanding of:

  • how localization projects are planned, prepared, managed and delivered
  • how CAT tools, translation memories and MT fit into professional workflows
  • how LLMs and AI tools can support localization tasks, and where their limits are
  • how translators can work with formats such as HTML, JSON and subtitles
  • how software, website, app, game, SEO and audiovisual localization differ
  • how new roles such as localization engineer, project manager and AI-aware language specialist are developing

AI and automation are becoming part of many localization workflows, but they do not replace the need for linguistic judgment, domain knowledge, project awareness and quality control. This course approaches AI tools critically and practically: you will learn where they can help, where they can fail, and how language professionals can use them responsibly.

This course is ideal for aspiring professionals, career switchers, or anyone ready to build localization skills with a solid mix of tech fluency and critical thinking.
